After more than a decade of collaboration, FISH (Friends in Service Helping) and Capital City CIRCLES Initiative are deepening their partnership to better serve individuals and families in the region. With the opening of the new Student Housing Learning Center, both organizations are taking a major step forward in aligning their missions and maximizing community impact.
As part of this expansion, Capital City CIRCLES has officially moved its offices to the FISH Learning Center at 1455 N. Carson St., Suite 300, adjacent to the Student Housing. This physical proximity reflects a strengthened working relationship and a shared commitment to empowering people through education, support, and opportunity.

FISH, whose mission is to provide Food, Instruction, Shelter, and Healthcare, sees this collaboration as a powerful opportunity to enhance its "Instruction" initiatives.
CIRCLES brings deep expertise in mentoring and breaking the cycle of poverty. By working more closely together, we can offer even more comprehensive learning and life-skills development to those we serve. ~ Jim Peckham, Executive Director, FISH
For Capital City CIRCLES, the expanded relationship means greater regional reach, enhanced opportunities to engage in training programs with and for the State, and increased access to FISH’s administrative infrastructure and long-standing community relationships.
We’re excited to expand our capacity while continuing to focus on helping families move from surviving to thriving. ~ Denise Mac k, CIRCLES Executive Director
While both organizations will continue to maintain their separate identities, the collaboration exemplifies a symbiotic relationship—one that allows each to amplify the strengths of the other while remaining true to their unique missions.
This expansion underscores both organization’s goal to grow the regional workforce, help to guide families out of poverty and to address complex social challenges by building a stronger, more resilient community.
