The FISH Food Bank
The FISH Food Bank has a mission to end hunger by organizing food, information and support for community survival and dignity.
Working to end food poverty and increase access to affordable, nutritious food for low-income families and individuals throughout Northern Nevada, the FISH Food Bank's initiatives focus on direct services and distribution of groceries.
The Carson City food bank is located next to the administrative office at 138 E. Long St. The Dayton food bank is run in collaboration with Centerpoint Christian Fellowship and is located at their facility.
In 2016 our Food Bank provided 391,602 meals and 2,298 Holiday food baskets!
We urgently need:
Pork & beans, rice, macaroni & cheese, pinto/kidney beans, canned fruit, cereal, and tuna.
Family Dining Room
Our family-oriented meal site that serves hot,
nutritious and delicious food is located on E.
Long St. along with our Food Bank. We provide
those in need with food and with fellowship,
responding to all with humanity and respect.
Our meal site serves one meal to over 80
Carson City residents each day.
In 2016 the Carson City Family Dining Room served 35,610 meals!
FISH meets the temporary and emergency needs of the hungry and homeless of our community by providing immediate food in the Family Dining Room in Carson City and through food banks in Carson City and Dayton.
